Preparing For Your Treatment
• To aid the procedure, apply olive oil drops or spray into each ear canal twice daily• Continue this routine for a minimum of 72 hours before I arrive at your home• This practice softens the wax for a painless and highly effective clearance
Those people who use ear buds or hearing aids are more prone to wax buildup because these devices prevent the ear wax naturally migrating out of the ear canal. These devices can also push the ear wax deeper into the ear canal which can lead to impaction.
Older adults tend to produce harder drier wax which tends to buildup in the ear canal.
A build up of ear wax can lead to ear discomfort, hearing loss, tinnitus and infections of the ear.
